Jog-A-Thon
Volunteers are needed at the Jog-A-Thon to help with making sure students cross the street safely, are supervised during the route, handing out water at water stations, handing out popsicles when students finish, and possibly in taking tables down after the event.
Please call/email/leave a comment if you are able to help. We want to make sure we have enough people so that the kids can run the neighborhood route rather than just around the field.
Fundraiser collections for the Jog-a-Thon (for C&D tracks) is due Friday. Class parties will be awarded to the class per grade that raises the most money. Prizes will also be awarded to the overall top selling students. 100% of the money earned goes right back to our school.
Box Tops/Cambell's Labels Contest
The winning class will receive mini pumpkins and a story from Mrs. Yost. Even better, teachers will be able to get some much needed supplies!
"During the 2009-10 school year we raised $3,012 (cash!) from Box Tops. Last year Foothills Elementary was ranked #19 of #969 in the state of Utah for most Box Tops collected. The teachers at Foothills Elementary were recently told they each get to spend $2 per student (in their class this year) on whatever they choose. Your children get the reward from all your hard work cutting and collecting Box Tops! We will be reporting to you what each teacher/grade purchased with the money and how it will benefit the students. We earned 8850 points with Campbell's Labels which is used towards their merchandise. We "banked" those points and will adding to our total this year. We hope to earn enough points so when we redeem them it allows every classroom to get something they can use, such as PE equipment, art supplies, etc." - Foothills Elementary PTA

Welcome!
Classroom Volunteer Schedule:
The volunteer schedule has been added to the calendar at the bottom of the page (including times). Please contact a room parent if you would like to add or change your scheduled day. If you're unable to make your scheduled time, please call Mrs. Craven to let her know.
Snack Schedule:
If your child is signed up to participate in the Class Snack Bucket, he/she will bring home the snack bucket about once a month. They will need to bring the snack bucket back the following school day with enough for 20 students. Please no candy or cookie-related items. Some ideas for healthy snacks are pretzels, crackers, fruit leather, granola bars, etc.
The snack schedule has been added to the calendar at the bottom of the page. Look for your student's name highlighted in orange. If you know your child will not be in class (i.e. vacation) on their snack day, please contact a room parent to have the day switched.
Events and Class Parties:
All events will be highlighted in magenta. Events will be added to the calendar as information becomes available. Further details will be posted as they get closer.
VIP Schedule:
During your childs VIP week you may bring a poster, picture, or share something about your child to help the class get to know them better. This will also be the week your child will present SHOW AND TEACH on Friday, be the class leader and be recognized as a special member of the class.
